Resume Writing Tips

I slept late last night because I was too busy crafting my resume.  Yes!  I decided to seriously look for a regular job this time.  I revisited my resume and asked help from my mentor because honestly resume writing is not my cup of tea.  I think that was also the reason why I had a major problem going to sleep last night which gave me headache this morning.  I wish I just take the best sleeping pill that my friend is using to relieve her insomnia whenever she has an attack.  Oh well, I think I am still lucky because it rain all day that I was able to get a powerful nap which help me in curing my headache.

Anyway, let’s forget about what happened to me.  Let’s continue with what I learned in writing resume.  This might also help you especially if you are also looking for a job.

Resume Writing:

  • When writing your resume, make sure that your grammar is correct.  It is always good to proofread before finally submitting your resume to the company you wish to apply or to any job online database.
  • Make sure also that there is now spelling error.  This is an eyesore to anyone who will review your resume.
  • Be direct!  Don’t make highfalutin words in highlighting your skills and accomplishment.  You have to remember that the one who will read your resume will spend just a minute of their time to scan your resume and so it is better to be direct and concise.
  • Use 1 font style throughout your resume
  • Your resume can either be in chronological order or in functional sequence.  This style will depend on which you think will be the best want to sell your skills and accomplishment.  You have to take note that you resume is sale’s page to get an interview.
